Georgetown McDonough Announces Two Faculty Appointments

Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business announced two faculty appointment changes recently. Professor of Operations Bardia Kamrad has been appointed as the school’s new Senior Associate Dean for Executive Degree Programs, while Charles Skuba has been named Senior Associate Dean for Executive Custom Programs.

According to his faculty profile, Kamrad joined the Georgetown’s Faculty in the fall of 1991. He teaches coursework at the executive, graduate, and undergraduate levels. He currently teaches classes such as Real Options Valuation, Operations Research, Productions and Operations Management, and Decision Analytics.

According to the press release announcing the appointments, Kamrad will oversee the Executive MBA, Global Executive MBA, Executive Master’s in Leadership, and Master of Arts in International Business and Policy programs.

“During my tenure at Georgetown, I have seen our noteworthy growth, great potential, and how far we can go as a school. I feel privileged to play a greater role in fulfilling the destiny that awaits us,” Kamrad said in a statement on the press release. “I look forward to working with my new colleagues in Executive Education and sharing our successes together as we grow our programs and more fully leverage the benefits of our proven strengths and our Washington DC location.”

Meanwhile, Skuba joined Georgetown McDonough in 2007 as an adjunct professor. He became a full-time faculty member in 2009, teaching undergraduates, MBAs, and executive students in international business and international marketing strategy. A widely loved professor, Skuba was given the Professor of the Year Student Choice award from the McDonough School of Business Undergraduate Academic Council in 2010, 2013, 2014, and 2015.

As Senior Associate Dean for Executive Custom Programs, Skuba will recruit and build quality executive programs tailored to the individual needs of organizations around the world. According to the school, he will continue to teach undergraduates and Executive MBA students despite his promotion, a testament to his love of the classroom.
