Question 1: Convert percentage into fraction
i) 157(1/7)%

Solution:
157(1∕7)
=100%+57(1/7)%
=1+4/7
=11/7 Ans

Question 2: If 44(4/9) % of a number is added to itself then result becomes 650.Find the original number.
Solution:
44(4/9)%
=4*11(4/9) %
=4*(1/9)
=4/9 %

In percentage,denominator always denotes original number and numerator is result %.

so as per question 4+9=13
13 units =650
1 units=50
so original number is =9*40=450 ans.

Question 3: In an election,10 % of the voters did not cast their votes,11(1/9)% of the votes out of voting done were considered invalid.The winner got 75% of the valid votes and won by 2000 votes.Find out the total number of voters in the voting list.

Solution:

Let total number of voter be 100

| -10 [119(1/9)% =1/9 and 1+9=10 ]
80

75% 25%

Difference of 75% and 25% is 50%.

50% of 80=2000 (given)
40 ---->2000
1------> 50

Then 100 ---> 50 * 100=5000 Answer
