What is Strength?

First of all, Strength is relative. Meaning it is nearly impossible to measure one's overall strength. One repetition max-outs are unreliable. While they are the standard for measuring strength, 1RM's have too many variables such as; how much sleep one has had, what food has been eaten, hydration levels, concentration, equipment, even clothing.

Secondly, we all have weak points. While we cover them up with our strong points, they grow weaker and weaker. Strong are the few who acknowledge their weak points, and work to eliminate them. Strong are the few who admit they are weak.

Strength is the willingness to fail and be seen as a failure in order to one day succeed. To jump high, we must first bend low. To kick we must first stand on one leg. Strong are the few who will bend lower than the rest of us in order to stand tall.
