The journey of Tubal Reversal is a long one. From the researching to the choosing of the surgeon right to the minute you are prepped for surgery. This proves to be one of the most exciting times of a couple’s life.

The when the surgery is completed and the time to try to get pregnant is here the road can be long for some. Month after month of trying and then to find out that you are not pregnant again can be heartbreaking. After awhile you feel like I is time to just give up. And this is exactly what many do. After months of negative pregnancy tests and tears it feels like it is just not worth it anymore. The toll it is taking on your relationship is getting larger and you feel like this is beginning to own you.

Then something happens. You feel “different” and you don’t know what and you really can’t explain why you feel different. Then you realize you are late for your period. Could it be? Could you have conceived finally?

A pregnancy test is in order and lo and behold the line is there. This test is telling you that you are finally pregnant. As clear as day that line is there on the stick in your shaking hand. As much as those lines show you are still in disbelief. You try to walk and you can feel your knees reacting to the rest of your body that is now carrying a child.

To those that are on the trying to conceive journey there are times that you will want to quit. There are times that you will be frustrated and cry and not understand why it is others getting pregnant and not you. There will also be times where you are ashamed of your own feelings because you know that you should be happy for the TR sister that just announced she is pregnant but you just don’t feel the excitement. This is all very normal.

One important reminder…when the time is right it will happen. The more we try to will something the higher the mountain seems. Everything happens for a reason and your miracle will happen.
