Layered Haircuts For Women In 400 Words Or Less

I’ll admit it. I’m a Layered Hair enthusiast. Yet it’s really not much of a stretch to say layered haircuts for women are here to stay. And I think they’re so popular for three reasons.
One, layered hair cuts suit most any face shape.

Two, you get extra bounce and added fullness from layers. Giving you a fresh yet natural look that can’t be beat.
Three, you’re left with a myriad of styling options. You’re free to wear your hair up, down, or in-between. Plus this works with curly, wavy or straight hair equally well.

Yet I feel an easily overlooked advantage is how layers can change the appearance of your face. Let’s quickly look at but one example of how that works.

Just as an example if your face is round you should go for long layers. What this will do is reduce the width of your face. Long layered haircuts have fewer layers too. The first layer usually begins at the shoulder level. On the whole there are at most 3 to 4 layers.

Still, whether or not this is appropriate with your face shape can be discussed with your hair dresser. But for most it can make a huge difference.

Then too, you often have choices in terms of how many layers are cut where. Each changes the look of the style. Sometimes dramatically. Letting you try out different hairstyles to see which gives you the most glamorous new you.

For example you could have your long hair heavily sliced near the ends if your hair is straight. It’ll give your hair bounce. Another option is to have your long layered hair waved or loosely curled for a romantic look. You could make the hair style dramatic by adding highlights to your hair.

Don’t forget that all textures and types of hair benefit from layers being added. Also layering works extremely well with wavy hair, looks good with straight hair and helps naturally curly hair to stay in line. With fine hair layers create the illusion of fullness and added volume.

Naturally you can also look at color too. Since highlights can look absolutely gorgeous with a layered look. Going a step further you could experiment with two colors. Using a darker base shade and overlaying the highlights on that. And is there any faster way out of a hair rut?

Okay so I am biased towards layered cuts. With so much to like who can blame me? Which is also why I’d recommend you take another look at the wealth of options layered haircuts give you. If like many you’re bored with your current style, I’m quite sure you’ll find a layered look that can spice things up a bit.
