You will be aware that the Minister for Health and Ageing, the Honourable Tony Abbott MP appointed an independent committee to Review Australia's Plasma Fractionation arrangements which Australia agreed to undertake following the Australia-United States Free Trade Agreement.

The review was designed to identify any issues that may arise if Australia introduced increased competition into the provision of plasma fractionation services for Australia.
