Second Triathlon (Dont Become Complacent)

Ok so you need to read my first blog to know who I am and why I decided to write a blog.

After my first Triathlon all I remember is the buzz I got, you forget how hard it was. Bit like child birth once you give birth all the pain and 9 months carrying was worth it. So completing a Triathlon was a buzz and worth the training and finishing the Swim Cycle and Run even though it was hard. The finish line was amazing.. I just wanted to do another one.
I had not booked on to another and in the mean time I went to my brother wedding, he got married in Morocco. This was an all inclusive week away for me.... Ooo all the food and drink I thought it's ok I'll have a week off although I did go the gym while I was there and did aqua aerobics. While I was away I decided I was going to do another Triathlon, I needed to, even if it was just to burn off all this food and drink I'd been having.
On my return back to England I booked on to a Triathlon, asked the other Tri members if they would do it but only one of the them was free. For some reason I did not worry about this Triathlon I think it was because the swim and cycle were both shorter than the last one, so how hard could this be????? I did no training , tell a lie, I was at my in laws the day before the event they live not far from where I was doing it so I cycled down to register but that was it.

Triathlon Day.
Met up with my Friend feeling really confident. I can do this. We agreed to stick together its nice to be able to do that. We lined up waiting for our wave to go and the water was cold, colder them my first Triathlon. I started to feel a little nerves now but we would be ok. It was a deep water start and full of  weeds very different from the last one. When I got in oooo my it was cold very cold, I could already feel the weeds on my legs not a nice feeling because it could be anything fish or I don't even what to think what else it could of been, not a nice feeling. This swim was half the size of my last one however I didn't even really swim think I was doing doggy paddle round and felt out of breath. At the end you have to pull your self out my family was there to support we shouting you can do it but honestly I couldn't I had help from the event helpers. I was so relived to be out that water.  We then had to get to transition and it was so far away there was another event on at the venue so the transition was so far from the swim. This was not good because our feet was so cold and we never had anything on our feet running up to transition killed. I think I was much faster in transition this time, I used talc for my feet and this was amazing worked so well.
Seen my mum she was at transition area it's always nice to see friends and family in the crowed really gives you a boost. Set off on the bike ride started down hill that's always good then it was up hill and more hill and even more hill's ooo my word. I did have to pull over to the side to get my breath I hate hills and not good with them because I have no way of training on them. My friend was like come on you can do this you can and she was right it was not going to kill me. I just decided no more stopping slow and steady then we started passing other and some was off there bikes walking this makes you feel grate. My friend was amazing she was like we are doing so well she keep going and really encouraged me even though there was yet more hills. We fished the bike ride in one piece and out of breath but how grate to of finished. In transition I seen another friend and know I had to rush. Picked up my bike throw it on the rack but did not move my hand owww that hurt.

,

First bit off the run was up a big hill my friend was like run on your tiptoes and stay nice and slow. this worked well so good tip for you guys. Anyway we got to the top and my fingers was killing I was almost crying the running motion was not helping my friend said I think you may of broken them. My friend could see how much pain I was and she said "I'm happy for us to pull out if you need" that sounded so good!!!! Who goes this far and pulls out No I had to finish it. My Friend turned her top into a sling for me she is a real star. The run felt like the worst thing in the world but it started going down hill and we ran to finish line hand in hand.
Finished YYYYYAAAAAA!!!!!!

Straight to first-aid for painkiller and see what I had done to my fingers. They confirmed I had broken them and they strapped them up for me.

My next one will to be better, how could it not be.f
