"The sun gives you Vitamin D but also cancer, fml"
Being a Southern Cali boy, I get a lot of sun exposure. Sometimes there's too much of a good thing.
We need the sun, not just for light and energy and all that, but also our bodies physically need those rays touching our skin. For about 10 minutes a day. Yup, that's pretty much it... Too much exposure can lead to premature wrinkles, damaged skin and other bad stuff.
So what's a pasty white boy to do?
I wear sunscreen daily, as I do walk a lot and am in the sun regularly.
When I need a tan, I Fake it. My cousin-in-law is a Beauty babe on Instagram (@kris.gerken16) and has all the products. I'm not big on mascara, eye shadow or lipstick, but I've never met a bronzer I didn't want to try.
She sent me some Beachfront and I love it! It compares to some other top shelf products price wise ($40) so it's a bit more than your average drug store brand tanner. The result is worth it IMO because I'd rather spend money on a good product than get something cheap that looks bad. You can also see where it's going as you apply it, so it cuts down on streaks.
Had to share my beauty secret of the summer!
Seen here is my before and after.
