Joye 510 Review

Joye 510 has a diameter similar to a cigarette, just a little longer.  It's nice and compact but the drawback is the battery's capacity.  They come in 180mAh (normal batteries) and 280mAh (mega xl batteries). The 280mAh is about 1" longer than the standard 180mAh batteries. The 180mAh batteries last me for about 1 - 2 hours before needing to recharge.  I have never used the 280mAh, but I will assume it's about 2 - 3 hours.  This might be nice if you are not a heavy smoker.  But you will probably still need to buy a PCC (portable charging case) if this is what you are planning to purchase.  *note you cannot use the 280mAh batteries for the 510 PCC.

I would not recommend the Joye 510, I would prefer the Joye eGo or the Riva 510 which has a better battery capacity, at least a 650mAh.  The diameter of Joye eGo/Riva 510 is slightly bigger.  You can see the picture to your right and make a comparison.   I started with Joye 510 but within 2 weeks, I purchased a Riva 510 for a replacement set.

The Joye 510, Joye eGo and Riva 510 (are all 510 class device).  This means the battery can work with any 510 atomizers or 510 cartomizers.  But the cartridge are not interchangeable.  For example 510-T atomizer only works with 510-T carts, and 510 atomizer only works with 510 cartridge.

Specs for Joye 510:
  • battery capacity : 180mAh and 280mAh choice of manual or automatic
  • diameter : 0.93cm (similar to the size of a cigarette)
  • height : 11.2cm (it's about 4 1/2" long with the 180mah batteries and about 5 1/2" with the 280mah setup.
  • atomizer resistance : 2.5 Ω
  • voltage : about 3.3v - 3.7v
2 different Joye 510 starter kits you might be interested in:

    • 2 x rechargable manual batteries (180mah)
    • 2 x 510 atomizer
    • 1 x charger
    • 5 x tobacco carts
    Joye 510-T starter kit
    • 2 x rechargeable manual batteries (180mah)
    • 2 x 510-T atomizer
    • 1 x charger
    • 5 x 510-T carts

Remember these are 510 device, the batteries will work with all 510 device. Such as Joye 510 atomizer, Riva 510 atomizer, 510-T atomzier, 510 cartomizers. You can only use standard resistance 2.5 Ω.

The only difference between the 2 sets is the T atomizer and T carts.  T carts are see thru, and the regular carts are not.  So in order to see the juice level on your regular carts you would need to take the cart out.  Remember 510-T atomizer only work with the 510-T carts and the regular 510 atomizer only work with the 510 carts.  The quality on the atomizer might be a little different though, you might not be able to taste the flavor as much on the T atomizer.  And the drag might be harder.  It all depends on the quality of the atomizer.

When you buy any starter kit make sure you buy some e juice (2 - 3 bottles of different flavor about 5-10ml each) and make sure you buy manual batteries.

I recommend Liberty Flights because of the warranty on the batteries.  It covers a 2 month warranty on them.  They have great customer service and really keep there words to it.  Remember these products all come from China and I must say sometimes the quality is not all that great.  So having warranty is very important.  Good Prophets and Cignot have great customer service, too. But I think there warranty on the batteries are only 1 month.  I love all 3 of the suppliers.  Normally I will just check which one is the cheapest out of the 3.  With standard atomizer they normally have 30 days warranty, so if I'm purchasing that I would look for the cheapest among the 3 suppliers.
