Green Tea For Everyday Good Health

Green Tea, the healthiest tea of all.  The benefits of greent tea cannot be underestimated nor should they be ignored.  This natural, herbal tea has been used for centuries and of late it is seeing a resurgance among those who are leading healthier lifestyles. 


Studies have shown that green tea is rich in catechin polyphenols, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG).  EGCG is a powerful antioxidant that has been proven to inhibit the growth of cancer cells, it actually kills cancer cells without harming healthy tissue.

Green tea is also being used for weight loss because it can help burn calories and suppress your appetite, it can lower LDI cholestorol levels and inhibit the formation of abnormal blood cells.

The ancient chinese were definitely aware of the benefits that green tea can have on you, even tooth decay can be slowed by adding green tea to your daily routine.  There is no negetives to using green tea, some people make complaints when they read that there is caffeine in green tea, but the levels of caffeine are so small that you have nothing to worry about, your average cup of coffee has about thirty times more caffeine.

Green tea is made with the leaves from the Camellia Sinensis.


To keep the good qualities the leaves are subject to very minimal oxidation during the processing stage.

Greent Tea is widely available but once it is in the hands of a company the taste will be altered so it is original to the certain brand.  Perhaps this is a good thing to many western consumers, drinking tea in it's natural form is not very appealing to most people. 
Although the tea may be altered in some small way the benefits are still there, it is a matter of finding a brand that you like.  I can't say that I recommend supermarket brands after drinking real green tea and although I know it can be an acquired taste, after only a few cups of green tea you will be converted.

When green tea is combined with other natural herbs it makes for a great tasting, refreshing drink that can be enjoyed either hot or cold.
