 Having Negative Thoughts can only make you feel restless, drain your energy and keep you from living in the present moment.

 One Negative thought can ruin your happiness whereas a small positive thought can have a beautiful blossoming effect on your mind and soul.

But, the most common question that we all have is how to get rid of negative thoughts when there is so much going around in life? 

Well, getting control over your thoughts is not difficult if you are determined and you try and bring in certain positive changes in your lifestyle.




Here are some great tips for positive thinking that you must try if you really want to feel more positive, happy and energized.

1. Meditate: Every morning after you get up, make sure to spend some time meditating. It is no more a secret that yoga and meditation has a miraculous healing effect on the mind, body and soul. Yoga takes your focus away from negative thoughts as you start paying more Attention to your breath. It has proved to be one of the best remedies for rejuvenating and relaxing the mind and body.

2. Surround Yourself With Positive People: Spend more time with people who are always encouraging and can bring out the best in you. Whenever you feel stuck or lonely, call a friend who can give you a constructive advice or feedback.

3. Work Out Regularly: Working out regularly can help boost happiness levels. Exercise is undoubtedly one of the best ways to feel better. 
So next time you feel low, get up, do some exercise and you are sure to feel more pleasant and energized!




4.Smile Often: Smiling can help reduce stress and make you feel lighter. It may sound a little odd, but standing in front of mirror and smiling can actually make you feel better because it takes fewer muscles to smile than to frown!

5:  Help someone: One of the best ways to get out of negativity is to bring positivity to someone else's life. You can do this by simply being kind to people, helping them out by giving some good advice and complimenting them on their good points. When you come across someone who is facing problems, just be there and listen to him as he vents. Talk to him about his difficult situation that he is going through and help him find a way out of it.

6. Read positive quotes: Place short positive notes on your computer, fridge, workplace, notebook, mirror etc to remind yourself to stay positive. This is a great trick for constantly reminding yourself to stay strong and positive.

7. Listen to music/ sing: Singing works amazingly well in reducing stress. It is not necessary to be a good singer or enjoy singing, simply sing your heart out when you feel stressed and see how instantly it soothes your mind. Listening to music is also a great therapy to relieve stress and anxiety.




8.List five things that you are grateful for: When your mind is tinted towards thinking in a negative way, it becomes difficult to pay attention to things that you can actually feel grateful for.

Take a minute as you get out of bed every morning and put your attention on few things that you are grateful for such as:
  • A roof over your head 
  • Three meals a day
  • Caring Parents
  • Clean Water

This a great way to change your perspective about life when you facing challenges and failure in life. Always take a minute or more to reflect on what you can be thankful for.
