How qualified is your home doctor?
House Call Doctor is accredited to the standards developed by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) for medical deputising services. All of our doctors are fully qualified and are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), as required by the Medical Board of Australia.
Our doctors are supported by a distinguished panel of Medical Directors, who oversee all matters of clinical governance.
Who is your home doctor?
From Australia, Canada, Ireland, UK, India, Pakistan, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, the United States, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Spain, China, Taiwan, South Korea and Sri Lanka, our doctors are a diverse team providing the highest quality care after-hours.
The doctors engaged with House Call Doctor also have a diversity of specialties, including General Practice, Emergency Medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, general medicine, geriatrics, psychiatry and surgical, amongst others. More than 120 of our doctors are specialised General Practitioners.
There are fellows amongst the team of home doctors at House Call Doctor. Additionally, all of our doctors have a minimum of two years’ post graduate experience, with most typically having more than four years’ experience.
What’s it like being a home doctor?
Dr Ryan Harvey joined the House Call Doctor team in 2015 and is now working as an Assistant Medical Director in Brisbane. He also currently works in General Practice at a local health clinic. After hours, Dr Harvey provides medical care to families in their own homes. Dr Harvey is experienced in paediatrics and has travelled extensively, administering medical care to children in remote overseas communities.
Dr Harvey says, “visiting patients in their own homes is a whole new experience, one that differs entirely from my work in General Practice.
“I love working for House Call Doctor as a home doctor due to how flexible the work is – it suits my lifestyle perfectly.
