Metabolism is a sum of all the chemical reaction in a human Body. It is a reaction in our body that builds things up and breaks thing down for storing energy in the body. 1. Drink plenty of cold water:  As a daily routine, an individual should drink atleast 4 litres of water in a day. It would be an advantage if you replace normal water with cold water. Cold water simulates your body to do work and try to balance the temperature of the body. Drinking 2-3 glasses water on an empty stomach in the morning can do miracle to not only your metabolism, but also improve your skin and hair growth.


2. Coffee can be your best friend: A study indicated that the average metabolic rate of people who drank coffee regularly has higher metabolic rate over people who don't. Caffeine simulates your central nervous system by increasing your breathing and heart rate. Caffeine is therefore also suggested in treating headaches, fatigue and drowsiness.


3. Green tea: Green tea is considered as the healthiest beverage. It is generally recommended to include green tea in a daily diet. Drinking green tea 2 times a day will help in improving the metabolic rate by around 4-5% in just a week. High antioxidants in green tea, called catechins, helps in burning extra 100 calories per day.


4. Psyllium husk: Psyllium is a soluble fiber that is derived from the seeds of Desert Indianwheat or Plantago ovata, a herb mainly grown in India. Research shows that consuming psyllium husk on a regular basis can be beneficial to many parts of the human body, including the pancreas and heart. It is an excellent natural source of fibre. 5. Pepper: Spices,usually peppers, are known to improve metabolism in our body. It contains a substance,named capsaicin, which significantly helps in boosting body metabolism. Therefore, eating spicy food could also be beneficial if you are aiming to improve your metabolic rate.



6. Physical Exercise:  Apart from the regular diet, including a regular physical activity in your daily routine can do magic to your metabolism. Activities like Jogging,brisk-walking, running,swimming, cycling, etc. would be beneficial.  Including a high intensity workout would burn more fat by increasing your metabolic rate, even after the workout.
