Vegetarianism is a practice in which people don't consume meat of the animals. They choose to consume vegetables and fruits. The consumption of Animal by-products such as dairy products is also there.

 For a moment, imagine how it feels like to get a cut on your finger while chopping. Imagine, how would it feel like to have yourself tied up hard and not able to move. Now imagine how it feels like to be butchered when you are fully alive. This is what happens with a millions of animals everyday. Be it chicken, pigs, lambs etc. The way they are treated when they are alive is even brutal. They are just treated as a piece of non living thing, thrown from here to there, they keep crying but there's no one to help. They are very gentle and sensitive creatures. Livestock are grown by steroids and other growth hormones which is not healthy for our body in any way. Prevent diseases like diabetes, hypertension etc.

The environment is also harmed because of various factors. There's 3-15 times more water wastage in taking care of cattle. Being a vegetarian we can help in water conservation. Acres of lands are wasted to keep the livestock. We can save our forests which are habitats of various wild animals. It takes pounds of grains to feed the cattle. Instead, we can consume the grains directly which are loaded with vitamins and other goodness. For a fact, decaying animal parts whether in restaurant or in the freezer case can never be as good as fresh vegetables.
