  • For 2-3 hours soak petals of one rose flower and then mash it with one-fourth cup milk to make a paste.
  • Apply the paste on your lips and wait for 20 minutes.
  • Wash off the paste with cold water.
  • Repeat this for a week.

4. Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is one solution for both chapped as well as dark lips. It acts as exfoliant and natural bleach and nourishes the skin and protects it from free radical damage.

  • Mix a teaspoon lemon juice with teaspoon honey and a half teaspoon castor oil.
  • Mix all the ingredients and apply on your lips.
  • After about 10 minutes rinse it with warm water.
  • Repeat this for a week to 10 days.

5. Aloe vera

Aloe vera is antibacterial, has a cooling effect and keeps the skin hydrated. It also protects the thin protective top layer of the skin.

What To Do

  • Extract the gel of aloe vera leaf and coat your lips with it.
  • Leave it overnight and in the morning rinse your lips and apply moisturizer.
  • Do this every day before sleeping.

6. Clarified Butter Or Ghee

Clarified butter is rich in essential fatty acids condition and nourishes chapped lips.

Note:- You may also use cocoa butter or shea butter for the same.

What to Do

  • Apply clarified butter on your lips every night before sleeping.

7. Cucumber

Cucumber is rich in water content and gives a cooling sensation. It has hydrating properties and just in a few days, it will remove dryness and flakiness.

  • Mash a few slices of cucumber and extract its juice.
  • Apply cucumber juice on your lips 2-3 times in a day.

8. Yogurt

  4. Scrub your lips- Use gentle and natural lip scrub to exfoliate dead skin cells. For this mix a teaspoon of sugar with sufficient coconut oil or olive oil or almond oil and scrub your lips with it to make lips soft.
  5. Do not lick your lips- Licking lips and covering them with a coat of saliva will provide only short time relief but it won’t keep your lips moist for long. When saliva evaporates lips become drier than before. So stops licking and use a lip moisturizer.
