Joint Commission Workshop For Behavioral Healthcare Providers

Elevated Billing Solutions Hosts Joint Commission Workshop Behavioral Healthcare Providers

Behavioral Healthcare Providers from all over the nation attended the first ever Joint Commission Workshop held in Salt Lake City, UT for mental health and substance abuse programs. Elevated Billing Solutions sponsored this workshop in an effort to help facilities navigate the accreditation process offered by the Joint Commission (JCAHO).

Megan Marx, Associate Director at Joint Commission presented at the Living Planet Aquarium in Draper, UT. With record turnout, over 30 facilities attended making this one of the largest attended workshops in Joint Commission history!

The presentation covered official guidance on the following:

  • Starting the application process
  • Resources available to facilities
  • Standardization of measurable outcomes

Keeping the attention of the attendees proved to be easier than anticipated as Megan presented in front of a 300,000-gallon shark tank, with 7 different species and 14 sharks! “This was definitely the most fun I’ve had presenting at a workshop” – Megan Marx, Joint Commission

“This workshop was incredibly helpful! I tried to start on the Joint Commission process over 2 years ago by myself and was never able to get started. Having the information presented in a step-by-step manner made it easy to take the first step.” – Dan Sanderson, Therapy Associates

Over the last year Elevated Billing have been working closely with the Joint Commission to help facilities understand the process and importance of being accredited, and the impact it has on patient outcomes.
