Yoga is not a new practice- it has been well known to humankind since ages. It is a group of mental, physical and spiritual practices which helps in the elevation of one’s mood, while invigorating the body, sharpening the mind and cleansing the spirit.
International Yoga day is being celebrated every year on 21st June all across the globe to make the people update and aware about every kind of knowledge and information related to the facts and effects of yoga on body, soul and on mind. Yoga not only gives calmness and peace but also the confidence and courage so that people can do their activities in a better way. Yoga helps person to create a better attitude which provides helps them to maintain a healthy and positive relationship with other people. It’s mandatory for everyone to know all the effects of yoga so that they can motivate themselves and others to practice yoga every day. In today’s time majority of people is practicing yoga as it helps them to get relieved from every mental as well as physical problems.

People who are living with this mental disorder often experience flashbacks and nightmares. For this, a form of yoga asana known as ‘Hatha’ is very effective in reducing the symptoms of PTSD.

Mindfulness is all about observing our emotions, thoughts, sensations and surroundings of our present moment. Yoga has a positive impact on our mood: we all know the physical benefits of yoga but do we know that yoga has various emotional benefits associated with its practice. Stress can cause various health related issues, and it can deeply affect our moods also. According to various studies it has been found out that yoga holds the potential to improve our mood for the long term. Yoga has the power to release endorphins in our brains; and endorphins are termed as “feel good” chemicals which are released when a person is happy.

Yoga helps in building up of healthy bones: through various postures of weight bearing, yoga is helpful in strengthening our bones while keeping osteoporosis at bay.
