How-To: Upload photographs onto Darwen Days

Please note that the Darwen Days website accepts jpeg and png image files, but not bmp (bitmap)- if you have some photographs you would like to donate in that format, please attach them to an email and send it directly to [email protected] and they be will converted by the volunteers. When you rename the images with the content- ie, your name, and any details you have about the photo, such as the year it was taken, remember not to use any punctuation such as back slashes or full stops when you are renaming the image, as it will not upload. Simply add your name (as you are the person donating the photograph), the year it was taken if you know it and any other details.

Your photos are loaded into a file on the Darwen Days Website awaiting a member of the team to prepare them. This involves resizing the images, filing them into the right category and adding the right tags to make sure that your photos are listed in any results made by visitors in the website's search engine. For more information, contact Darwen Days directly or if you'd like to donate more than photographs, please see the Submit Page.
