Ah me! why may not Love and life be one? ~Henry Timrod

There are some things that are inevitable in life. You know they will come, but it doesn't lessen the pain or make it any easier when the time arrives. I put all of my thoughts out here with this blog, but I rarely get overly personal and talk about specific people or situations. This time though, there is something that sticks in my brain and even more so in my Heart... And I know in my heart of hearts that what I am embarking on is the correct path and what I am meant to do, and then it rolls back around to one of those inevitable experiences in life—heartache.

I think one of the reasons I enjoy blogging so much is that I get to use quotes (and a thesaurus), carefully selecting the perfect phrases to express how I feel and what I am trying to convey. Spending a good chunk of my Monday filtering through quotes on love, loss and heartache left me a sniffling mess! What I'm struggling with the most is hurting someone that trusts, respects and supports me. The reason I love this man is because he tells me I'm doing the right thing, he wants me to follow my dream and fulfill my potential, it's the opportunity of a lifetime and that I have to do this. All of this encouragement and reassurance is at the expense of his feelings, which ultimately must leave him feeling abandoned. It's genuine love and it gets me pretty choked up. It's the hardest thing, to walk away from a relationship that provides me with all of the love, understanding and comfort I have ever wanted. I don't know what else to say about it. It's the most unfortunate byproduct of answering your calling. Only time will tell and in time, mend broken hearts.

How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.~ A.A. Milne
