You can never go home again, but the truth is you can never leave home, so it's all right.
~Maya Angelou

I caught my first glipse of Kili today and photos just can't do it justice. Mt. Kilimanjaro is massive! You look to the sky and see clouds and there juts out the snow capped peak of Kili. It really takes your breath away. I've walked around a bit, and am taking it all in. I start my orientation for work tomorrow morning and have found a more permanent place to live (currently I'm in a room with a bath. It's a little cramped with the kitty), so things are moving right along.

I can't believe I haven't posted in 2012! Well, actually I can, but it's even harder to believe that it is mid-February and here I sit in Moshi, Tanzania. It's been surreal the past couple of months, and life in Africa is slowly setting in as reality. I feel at a loss for words right now; maybe it's the heat or some lingering jet lag, but it's been so long and there is so much in my head, I'm not sure what to write. Life is good here and I'm happy. I wish I could transport the people that I love here to experience all of this with me though...
