1. Blogging (Can Be) Easy to Start
Getting started with Blogging is something that can be done within a matter of minutes! Without exaggerating, you can set up a fully functioning blog by yourself in the time it’d take to read this post (It’s not that long!)
Absolutely anyone can set up a great looking blog. You don’t need a degree, job experience, or even web-design training thanks to WordPress. This makes blogging one of, if not the single most accessible opportunities to make a living that there is!
Now I think it’s very important to mention this, before I started blogging, I HATED Writing. The only writing I had done was for school, and the thought of it turned me off.
PSA: Blogging is a totally different feeling than writing an essay!
When you blog, you’re simply getting your thoughts out on paper, you’re writing about what you love, and trust me – it makes all the difference. I hate writing, but I love blogging.

Blogging is truly a journey that you take, you start as one person, and you become somebody else entirely over the course of your career. The sooner you start, the sooner you grow.
4. Improve and Develop Your Personal Writing Style
As time goes on, and you get used to writing articles, putting out posts based on your schedule, and your writing style changes. You not only become a faster and more elegant writer, but you’ll find yourself developing a personal style – each of your posts will have a certain feel to them, that the readers recognize!
Once you get more comfortable with blogging, it becomes more and more natural. Eventually, the words just flow, and getting your message across becomes easier and easier!
Aside from everything else, blogging is one of the best exercises you can do in order to become a better writer. You’re essentially forced to write everything with proper grammar and spelling, and the ease of which it takes you to get your message across only improves over time.
5. Meet Amazing, Inspiring People
This is such a huge aspect of blogging, and yet so many people aren’t even aware that it exists! Blogging connects you with so many people – fellow bloggers, people involved in your niche, your readers, and more. You make countless connections as a blogger, and many of them can turn into real-life friendships.
Blogging has long been thought of as sort of a lonely aspiration, since all of the upfront work can be done alone from your laptop, but it opens up so many avenues to meet people who are interested in the same things as you. People who you’d never have met if you didn’t decide to skip the coffee that day and start a blog.
The blogging community as a whole is very supportive, motivating, and uplifting. Whenever I’ve asked a fellow blogger if they could go back and change one thing about their life, what they would change, the answer is always the same: “I wish I’d started blogging years ago!”
6. You Become Your Own Boss
Some people enjoy the stability and structure that comes from a 9-5 job. If that’s you, all the power to you! But if you’re anything like me, (which I bet you are, since you made it this far!) then the very thought of a boss calling the shots in your life turns you off.
With blogging, you get to be your own boss, not a single person can tell you how to spend your time, no more sitting in traffic rushing to get to work on time, and no more clocking in hours for the same of anyone else. You gain complete control over your life!
You can even start a blog on the side to supplement your income, and then once it’s big enough, quit the job and enjoy the freedom living off of a blog offers.
Now being your own boss takes discipline, you have to be able to keep yourself on task, and hold yourself accountable, but it’s one of the most rewarding things you can do in your life. Give it a try at least once, because with a blog, you have nothing to lose!
