Sadly, it’s not a question which bothers the most of us. Why should we think about such a sad section of our life, when living our life is much happier and greater without these thoughts and plans?
Most of us will think also so:
I will have enough time to think about it later!
I am too young to think about a will!
I don´t have time and I do not want to think about it
I don´t care what happens after I am deceased.
Of course, all this thoughts are understandable and if You think like last written, okay, then it is so, but at least You thought about it. If on the other hand You think about it and You say, ‘I don´t know what will happen if I die’ or ‘I have an idea how my assets will be transferred and to whom’, then You should dig deeper in it.
After You turned eighteen, You can establish Your own will. In some cases it is possible to create a will as a minor too, but for now we will concentrate on the usual situations.
With thinking about the right time to create a will, we should start first with the obvious facts. To whom will be transferred Your estate if You don´t have a will? This will be our status quo and base for all coming. Second question will be what do You own and how do You own it, in joint, common names or alone? This will be Your status quo in fact of Your belongings and assets. Third and most important question will be to whom do You want which part of Your estate to be transferred?
There can be a few cases for which the law has already a proper solution. It’s very well if it is so, but at least You checked Your situation and made Your thoughts about what will happen if You die.
The right time to make a will is anytime, but in different chapters of our life, different wills will be required. What all wills have in common is that we want to write down our last will and to die with the warranty that Your family is safe. We also want to make sure that our lifework is safe, like our company which we built up or our house which we built as a home for our family.
