A step towards AdWords growth

A lot goes on behind any successful Adwords Campaign. If you think you have cracked the code good for you. In this section, we are going to pinpoint the things to be focused on, for a successful campaign.

The statistics speak in favor of Pay per Click (PPC) campaign

  • With 86% of consumers using the online mode to find a local business
  • 72% of consumers prefer finding info on local merchants via search.
  • And about 29% of consumers search for local businesses at least every week

Apart from picking the right keywords, creating the perfect ad and having the right Landing page, there’s still a number of tricks that can help you increase your AdWords ROI.

Listed below are the AdWords growth hacks to be included while creating your campaign:

1.Get Granular

I won’t be wrong if I say the growth of mobile search goes hand-in-hand with the increase in local search results. When is the last time you have searched for “restaurants near me” or “dentists near [location]” as a way to find local businesses?

With the increased local searches, it is crucial that businesses take this into consideration when building the AdWords campaign.

The process is simplified with the option to establish the geo-radius. Now you can target a specific area and generate reports to see which micro-units within that range perform the best.

2.Use Analytics

Don’t you worry about the reporting because Google AdWords provides a lot of useful data by default?

The question to ask here:

What is your campaign goal? Is it to drive your business via phone calls and web form submissions?  Or drive e-commerce sales? Or you want visits to your store?

You can set proper conversion tracking, based on your goal. Otherwise, you won’t be able to optimize your campaign to maximize your goals.

3.Segmenting Your Campaigns

One of the major mistake businesses make while launching AdWords campaigns is by having too generic ads with complimenting landing page.

Know your prospect and try relating your product or service to exactly what the prospect is looking for.

Let’s take an example,

Instead of advertising your auto repair shop using the same ads for all keywords, if we segment the campaign by car make and model.  That will allow you to perfectly match your ad copy and landing page to the keyword searched, which ultimately leads to higher click-through rates and more leads and customers for your business.

4.Being Relevant

The more specifically you target your campaigns to the target keywords, the more likely a user is to click on the ad.

Not just the ads, you need to be prepared with relevant information on your landing page which should be consistent with the ad copy. Your ad will drive the consumer to your landing page and now it is the job of your landing page to ensure conversion.

Your landing page needs to be authentic and connect with your target audience.  Remember, you only get a few seconds before the visitor clicks the back button!  Make every pixel above the fold count.

There are many more optimization tips for Google AdWords campaigns. This post isn’t meant to cover them all, but rather to point and help you think in the right directions. Keep us in your bookmarks for more updates.
