Adding a new page

To add a new page, follow the steps below:

• Go to Content => Pages (under Elements)
• Click on Add New Page
• You’ll be shown the following new page form where you can add details for the page:
• Let us go through each section in the New Page form in detail:
  • General Information:
    • Enable Page: Set this to “Yes” if you want this page to be visible on the frontend here.
    • Page Title: Set the title for your CMS page. This title will be used as page title, meta title tag and in breadcrumbs in your Magento 2 store.
  • Content:
  • • Content Heading: Type in the storefront title of your CMS page here.
    • WYSIWYG Editor: Edit the content of your page using the what-you-see-is-what-you-get editor.
  • Search Engine Optimization:
  • • URL Key: Set the URL key for your page here. You can access the page appending this URL key to your website’s basic URL.
    • Meta Title: Set ‘Title’ meta tag for your page here.
    • Meta Keyword: Specify the keywords you want to be added to ‘Keywords’ meta tag here.
    • Meta Description: Set ‘Description’ meta tag for your page here.
  • Page in Websites:
  • • Store View: Select the store view from where this page will be accessible.
  • Design:
  • • Layout: Choose a layout from the drop down list. You can set the page layout to be blank or set it to have:
      • 1 Column
      • 2 Columns with Left Bar
      • 2 Columns with Right Bar
      • 3 Columns
  • • Layout Update XML: If you have a custom XML configuration, you can add it here for the page layout.
  • Custom Design Update:
  • • From – To: Set the duration (select from and to dates) for when the custom design is to be applied.
    • New Theme: Select the theme which is to be applied during the set duration.
    • New Layout: Set page layout for the specified duration of the custom theme.

Once you’re done filling in the details for the new page, click on the Save Page button to save the page.

Editing an existing page

To edit an existing page on your store, go to Content => Pages (under Elements)

In the Pages submenu, you’ll see a list of all your existing pages.

Select the page you want to edit and choose Edit from Action drop-down list.

You need to edit the same fields which we have discussed in Adding a New Page section above.

Deleting an existing page

To delete an existing page on your store, go to Content => Pages (under Elements)

In the Pages submenu, you’ll see a list of all your existing pages.

Select the page you want to delete and choose Delete from Action drop-down list.

Assigning a Home Page

If you’ve added a new page and you want to set it as your default home page, follow these steps:

• Go to Stores => Configuration (under Settings)
• Choose Web from the left sidebar, and click expand Default Pages section.
• Uncheck the “Use System Value” and select your new page from the CMS Home Page drop-down list.
• Click Save Config to set your new page as the default Home Page of your website.
