Marvelous Mosques In Dubai to check out !

Tags: mosque mosques

If there is anything that gives peace to the heart it is traveling, which is more like a rule of my life, however, an equally peaceful place to be is in a place of worship. And as Dubai is an Arab country with a Muslim majority, the principal places of worship are Mosques.

Inspired from a medley of architectural feats from all over the Eastern world, these mosques open up gates to a glimpse of the old Muslim world. So here you go with a look into the most beautiful mosques in Dubai:

Jumeirah Mosque
This place is heaven on earth that has literally earned the title of the most photographed mosque in the lands of Emirates. And it is not just the outside that is mesmerizing and beckons you inside the mosque, as the interior itself is such a beauty that you would not want to leave the place at all.

The Jumeirah Mosque is present in Jumeirah 1, opposite the Dubai Marine Beach Resort and Spa. The architecture of the mosque is a modern day mirror to the medieval Fatimid architecture with the minarets and domes all painted and polished white.

The Blue Mosque
The Blue Mosque is also known as Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque. Located in Al Safa 1 opposite the Al Safa Park the mosque is known by its former name, as the inscriptions in the mosque are Ottoman by name and are inspired by the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.

The external of the Blue Mosque is patterned with iznek tiles that are also located in the interior walls and arches of the mosque.

Not only does this mosque boost Andalusian touches and is a remarkable beauty but it is spacious as well. Proof of this point is that it accommodates about 2000 brethren in one single time, making it one of the largest mosques in UAE and the third among the mosques to open its doors to the non-Muslims as well But do check this information once again before you make plans ,

AL SALAM MOSQUE Al Barsha
This mosque is a beauty to marvel at and has a convenient location as well. It stands,  mighty, Behind the Mall of Emirates in Al Barsha 1 and opened its doors in July 2014. The full capacity of this mosque is of 1500 worshippers.

Not only will you find yourself awestruck by the external architecture of the Al Barsha mosque but you will be just as surprised with the interior designing of the place, which is a reflection of Emirati bricks and blocks with lovely hints of Ottoman and Andalusian architecture seeping in to give an overall brilliant blend.

Al Wasl- Iranian Mosque
The beautiful  Iranian mosque in Dubai is Al Wasl that is also named as Imam Hussein Mosque. It is located on the Al Wasl Street, near the Iranian Hospital in Jumeirah.

This mosque is a display of the architectural style of Persia with the striking feature of the mosque being the tiles colored azure blue and embellished with intricate floral motifs and a chaos of green, white, red, and yellow colors.

The Grand Mosque
This mosque has been in existence since the 1900s, which automatically earns it a badge of ‘coolness.’ Initially, it was a place where children were taught Holy Quran, the holy book of Muslims and it was rebuilt at least twice, but it still maintains the same look as that of the 1900s.

Currently, it can accommodate about 1200 worshippers and is one of the largest mosques in the country. Its minaret is the tallest in Dubai, rising to a height of 230 feet and its design sees inspiration from Anatolian architecture. The walls of the mosques are adorned with Quranic inscriptions, which makes it a sight to look at for hours.

Khalifa Al Tajer Mosque
The Khalifa Al Tajer Mosque is a recently opened place of worship located in Port Saeed and is called the Green Mosque. Why? I hear you ask. Well, that is because this place is completely eco-friendly and is the first of its kind ever opened, meaning this is the first Green, the environmentally friendly mosque on Earth.

The beauty of this mosque is accompanied with environmentally friendly systems such as full energy-saving LED lights, a climate control system that monitors and regulates air-conditioning as per the number of visitors in the mosque at a time and the prayer times along with solar panels to power the batteries and water heaters, what more can a person ask for?

So I am not gonna ask for anything more and head to one of these mosques for some peaceful time that has become a necessity keeping in mind the hassle bustle of the 21st century’s life.
