Tomorrow is Independence Day in the United States. We will be celebrating the 242nd anniversary of our country. It is a day for every American to be proud. It is also a time to thank God for all the freedom we have, and to pray for even more. In addition, we should consider ways in which we can make improvements to our nation. I would suggest making this country a little more libertarian when it comes to property rights and our other personal possessions. What ideas do you have? It is every patriotic American’s duty to strive to make the United States a better place to live.

Independence Day falls in the middle of a week this year. Therefore, many of you may have taken yesterday and today (or Thursday and Friday) off from work to get a five-day weekend. Anyway, enjoy the last (or first) day of your five-day weekend. Wave a flag. Don’t let anyone fool you into believing that some Americans have more of a right to it than others (as the media and some other well-meaning groups often do). If you are an American, then Old Glory belongs to you. Eat hot dogs. Attend a fireworks show. Have fun.  But avoid the over-consumption of alcohol and be safe.
