Emergency Rally Tomorrow

Tomorrow there's been a call to rally against Mr. Bush's proposed Veto of the Senate bill. If you want more information go to MoveOn.org, put in your zipcode, and see where the closest one to you is taking place.

This is an important moment to step out and show our strength in numbers -- we have to swiftly prove that the majority of the people aren't with the president. We want Congress to stand firm and end this war.

Here are the Chicago area locations:
-4:45 PM
-Federal Plaza 230 South Dearborn, Chicago IL
-Directions: We will be rendezvous-ing with Citizens Action and other progressinve groups at Federal Plaza in the Loop, at South Dearborn Street between W. Adams and W. Jackson streets
-Description This is a public rally to make it clear to our representatives, to the President, and to the public, that Mr. Bush simply cannot continue to ignore 70% of the American people, and do "business as usual", and needs to establish an end to this dark chapter in American history - by ending our disastrous involvement in the civil war in Iraq!

6:45 PM Emergency Veto Rally
-Scoville Park 800 Lake St., Oak Park, IL
-Directions: At the intersection of Oak Park Avenue and Lake Street, just east of the public library.
-Description This rally will express Americans' disappointment and opposition to the President's refusal to listen to the majority voice that it is time to begin the process of ending our failed occupation of Iraq.
