On the victory of Seehofer and the CSU

On the Victory of Seehofer and the CSU in the Bavarian state elections of September 2013:

And still elections are won in Bavaria with the size of the beers tents the parties afford.  In 1990 I worked as election assistant to local candidates of the SPD all over Bavaria.  In some villages people were afraid to come to the SPD stands we set up, as if we represented the anti-Christ in those Catholic small communities.

To me it Remains an area with limited change, in deed little change in Conservatism since time remember.

It makes Munich a beacon of radicalism that still has not succeeded to wake up the rest of the state from its cosy sleeping beauty existence.

They say some officials in Bavaria and in the CSU simply changed clothes after 1945.  It remains unexposed and small minded in many parts and still begs everyone else to accept their difference.
