The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
The above is the 4th Amendment of the Constitution, it applies to each and every person in America. It does not matter who you are, where you live in America, your net worth, your job, you have 4th Amendment Protections.
Section 702 of the Foreign Surveillance Act which I linked specifically states: The government may not target any U.S. person anywhere in the world under this authority, nor may it target a person outside of the U.S. if the purpose is to acquire information from a particular, known foreign person inside the U.S.
As Americans we are supposed to be protected from a rogue Government or government employees. Yet under the Obama Administration we were not and Americans have very little trust in government institutions we used to trust because We the People are consistently lied to and NO ONE in the previous administration no matter what laws they broke were held accountable.
FBI Director James Comey once again came before We the People and told bold faced lies that there was no evidence the Obama Administration spied on the Trump Campaign or incoming Trump Administration, yet as of yesterday we know that in fact the Obama Administration did SPY on the opposing party and the new administration and the information was leaked to the media again from members of the Obama administration. After the Hillary Clinton debacle and now this James Comey should be fired, We the People should accept no less. He is completely untrustworthy.
This is UNACCEPTABLE and it would be just as UNACCEPTABLE if the Bush Administration had done this to the Obama Administration or the Trump Administration did it to the next administration. It is not only unacceptable it is chilling and no matter your party affiliation it should enrage you.
If the future President of the US and his administration is fair game, what protections are in place to keep regular Americans safe from government abuse? This is not a political ideology issue, this is a Constitutional issue. Employees of We the People have ZERO consequences for SPYING on us. Employees of We the People are now well and truly above the law. There are Two Americas, the Government and then the Rest of us.
We have the Director of the FBI lying with impunity on National Television and nothing happens to him. We have had IRS officials plead the 5th to Congress on National Television after engaging in discrimination and getting to retire with a pension. We have had the Attorney General of the US plead the 5th to Congress on National Television about President Obama paying illegal ransom to Iran and again nothing happened to her. We had the Obama Administration lie repeatedly about Benghazi, stating it was caused by a video tape and Susan Rice who went on 5 national Sunday shows and repeatedly LIED to Americans she got a promotion. These are just a few of the lawless actions.
When the Government over and over again abuses its power and suffers no consequences and is in fact provided cover by members of the media (who were also illegally spied on by the government) then public trust crumbles.
The House Intelligence Chairman is being skewered in the media for breaking protocol by telling We the People that yes the President was spied on. At this point protocol doesn't matter and should not trump We the People being told the truth.
Every single person in the previous administration that illegally revealed classified information needs to be put under the jail. Every single person that ok'd the leaking also needs to be put under the jail. Every American should demand no less than this because unless we hold our government accountable none of us is safe from governmental abuse.
It is time for We the People to take back our government, just like the Democrat Party leadership cheating Bernie Sanders and his supporters in the Primaries, this is not nor should it be a partisan issue. All of us should be ANGRY.
Today pray for our cousins across the pond, London. The terrorist attack they suffered yesterday was horrific.
