Is North Korea really going to pull out of the talks with Trump?

Loading

Recently, Kim Kye Gwan – Vice Foreign Minister of North Korea stated that his country has no interest in the planned summit with the United States if it is going to a “one-sided” affair. Mr. Gwan’s statement came in response to the recent statement by Trump’s top security advisor, John Bolton, who stated that North Korea should follow the “Libyan Model” and provide a complete, verifiable, and irreversible dismantlement of their nuclear program.

Some security analysts believe that North Korea’s stance is valid, as the negotiations can only be successful if, the talks are based on a win-win model. Furthermore, they also stated that although North Korea has committed to denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula, they want a deal that will offer some benefits in return for this denuclearization. Whereas Other analysts believe that will not pull out of the talks with Trump and these statements are issued only to assert some pressure on the United States.

This scenario instigated a debate over social media regarding whether North Korea really going to pull out of the talks with Trump?
