In case you missed it the first time the story broke, the most Expensive water in the world is sold in a 750ml 24-carat solid gold Bottle that retails for €60,000– or about $72,000 USD.
Outrageous, right? We couldn’t believe it ourselves, so we’d figure we’d share the details so you can add this to your trivia knowledge:
Acqua di Cristallo Tributo a Modigliani— also known as the “Most Expensive Bottle of Water in the World” according to the Guiness Book of World Records— is as fancy as the name suggests.
One bottle of Acqua di Cristallo Tributo a Modigliani water, above shown, costs $60,000.
The water is sourced from France and Fiji (two points literally on opposite sides of the globe, which likely adds to the cost) and is sold in a bottle designed by Fernando Altamirano of Tequila Ley (the same guy who designed the Cognac Dudognon Heritage Henri IV bottle, which is the most expensive bottle of cognac in the world).

Since that time, we discovered that there’s an entire world of expensive bottled water out there!
Kona Nigari is a $402-per-bottle water from Japan that is collected from a spring 2,000 meters under the sea off of the coast of Hawaii island, which is said to contain beneficial, naturally-occurring deep sea electrolytes. The $219-per-bottle Fillico is another Japanese brand of bottled water whose bottles are made to look like a king and queen; they are even topped with gold crowns. (The water comes from the Rokko Mountains near Osaka, whereat the water filters through granite and is excessively oxygenated, rendering it “gentle to all drinkers”.)
