Winterberry

There are many different types of berries out there. One of those berries is the winterberry. The winterberry is also known as llex Verticillata. That is the actual scientific name for the berry. The Plant or plant spice is named due to the vertical stem that reaches across it. The pant can be found all over the world but is most likely to be seen in the North American region and the south-east portion of Canada. The plant prefers to grow in moist areas where the ground is swampy and damp. SO most people find the plant in areas that south of colder climates.

Those names being Black Alder Winterberry, Brook Alder, Canada Holly, Coralberry, Deciduous Holly, Deciduous Winterberry, False alder, Fever bush, Inkberry, Michigan Holly, Possumhaw, Swamp Holly, Virginian Winterberry, and Winterberry Holly. The berry on the plant can be eaten as is a prominent food source for many species. The most known animal to eat these berries is birds. In the past, it has been said that the native Americans used this plant is medicine to cure different ailments in them. The plant is known for how sturdy it is. The plant is easy to grow, which makes it perfect for people who are just starting to learn how to garden. The plant is also very strong and can handle people stepping on it, and any weather. The plant also does not attract any pests, so you don't have to worry about bugs latching on.
