Apple misses a point with the iPhone Red edition

Apple announced a special RED edition of the Iphone 7 and 7 plus duo. The iPhones are in partnership with (PRODUCT)RED,  an international organisation that contributes to the Global Fund.

The red iPhone is a welcome addition, as it gives a break from the tech grey, black, gold and white we have grown accustomed to. Phones are now accessories, and its high time a phone looked like one. But all’s not well with the way Apple chose to execute the phone. The face of the phone is white, and this takes away from the appeal of the device.

For the record, I love the color red. All my devices are red, or have red cases in the case of phones. But it’s always red and black, not white like Apple did here. Just to give a glimpse of how much better the iPhone would look, Benjamin Geskin made a render of the device and well, it awesome.

Do not let this put you off getting the red, though. It still is a good phone on its own. Just that it could be even better. But apparently Drake doesn’t seem to think so…
