Alltel has just announced that the LG Axis will be offered as part of their growing smartphone line-up. It’s an Android-powered device (of course) running version 2.1 out of the box, has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2-megapixel camera, and all of the usual bells and whistles. Doesn’t sound like a top-tier product, and it isn’t priced as one: $89.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and two-year contract if you’re interested.
