Do You Dream of Horses? Cavalia is Still Here

I was ten years old when I saw The Black Stallion.   I watched the whole show through tear blurred eyes.   I was so moved by the beauty and quiet grace of that Lovely Horse.   I would have been happy if the whole film had just been him and the boy playing on the beach together.

Yes, I was one of those girls.  I was horse mad.   One year, when visiting my Great Aunt and Uncle down in England, they took us to a friends horse farm.  These were race horses.  They were HUGE.  And lovely.  I walked into a field FILLED with mares and their tall lanky foals and breathed in their otherworldly goodness.   It was sheer heaven.

That is the feeling that Odyssey by Cavalia tries to convey with their breathtaking display of equestrian skill mixed with acrobatics, music and stunning visuals.

Watching over 20 horses moving freely in front of you and calmly respond to the humans in their midst, reminds us of the relationship that has been between man and horse probably from the moment we first spotted the early wild horses roaming the grasslands.

The show blends amazing silks and acrobatics as well as dazzling us with the troops amazing equestrian skills.   The costumes make us feel like we are somewhere in Middle Earth and that the horses are more than equine grace, but rather, something magical.

They have kindly extended their stay in Vancouver now until March 12th.

For any horse lovers, I cannot recommend it enough.  Also, if you are wanting to turn it into an entire magical evening, splurge for the VIP tickets.   The buffet and wine selection is absolutely fantastic and it was lovely to enjoy dessert in comfort during the intermission.   And let’s not forget the chance to tour the stables and say goodnight to all the lovely horses.

Go ahead and book your tickets here.

I do believe my promo might still save you a few dollars.
