Go Veggie with Yves

Pre-Kids I had a slight addiction to Yves Veggie Dogs.  I like them and veggie burgers more than their meatier counterparts.   My more carnivorous family, think I am crazy, but I will slowly win them over and hopefully show them that a meatless or less meat world is just as tasty.

Therefore I was quite happy to say yes to a chance to try some other of the products made by Yves Veggie Cuisine AND my girls were willing tasters and both gave a thumbs up.

The first item I tried was their Kale & Quinoa Bites.  Ssssshhh I didn’t mention the Kale.  We had a bad kale experience once and no one will touch it ever again.  These make a great appetizer, snack or addition to a meal. Check out the ingredients:

Potatoes, chickpea flour, kale, carrots, quinoa, onions, yum.  15 minutes in the oven.   That is it.

Kale & Quinoa Bites with Pasta Salad and Broccoli Slaw

Tara and Caity woofed these down.  I barely got a taste.  Which is fine because I was happy with the (ahem) larger and incredibly tasty Falafel Balls!!!

Another easy one.   15 minutes in the oven and you get these tasty treats made with chickpeas, onions, carrots and a mix of herbs and spices. I admit to being fairly boring with my prep of these beauties and just put together a nice pita sandwich with Tzatziki sauce.

Yves does have some good recipe ideas if you need inspiration.  And being that I haven’t had a chance to test out the ‘Ground Round,‘ I will be there for some inspiration and can’t wait to see if I can fool the family too.   Yves Cuisine is a great way to up the health of your family meal plan.   A gateway to a more vegetarian lifestyle if you like.   Trying to feed my family can feel a bit overwhelming and so I appreciate any help I can get to keep them away from the junk.
