Florida Prepaid College Plans: Open Enrollment Ends 2/28! Announcing a Free Webinar for More Info, Plus $25 Off the Application Fee!

This post is sponsored by the Florida Prepaid College Board, through my role as a Believer Blogger. All thoughts are my own.

Time’s almost up! Over the past few months, I’ve been telling you about the awesome Florida Prepaid College Plans. Since 1988, this program has been helping families to affordably save for college -- longer than any other prepaid program in the nation! My oldest son was born in 1989, and we bought a Florida Prepaid College Plan for him as a baby, so we were among the first batch of families to take part in this terrific opportunity.

I hope that my posts have given you food for thought and started you on the road to thinking about how to pay for your children’s college education. However, now’s the time to commit because the open enrollment period for the Florida Prepaid College Program ends on February 28! Still have questions? Besides visiting the website at www.myfloridaprepaid.com, which has some really great information, I’d like to invite you to attend the following no-cost webinar. It only takes 45 minutes, and it will answer a lot of your questions about the program. Register at https://www.webcaster4.com/Webcast/Page/1511/24661.

Of course, you’ll have another opportunity to enroll next October, but by enrolling now, you’ll lock in today’s plan prices. And the younger your child is, the more months you’ll have to cover the cost, thus lowering the monthly payments.

Now, you may be thinking that this program is only for Florida schools. WRONG! Florida Prepaid College Plans aren’t restricted to Florida schools; the amount covered by your Prepaid Plan can be used at schools nationwide!

Another concern that people have is what happens if the covered child moves out of Florida. Well, that’s not a problem either! The child will still be billed at in-state tuition rates when using the plan at a Florida college or university.

And if your child doesn’t decide to go to college? You can either change the beneficiary of the Prepaid Plan or get your money back!

Still worried about risk? You’ll be happy to know that every Florida Prepaid College Plan is fully guaranteed by the State of Florida. Even during challenging economic years, the prepaid fund has never once operated at a deficit.

I’ve said it before, but it bears saying again, the Florida Prepaid College Program has been a godsend for our family. Thanks to this program, my two oldest boys earned their bachelor’s degrees from Florida universities debt-free! And my teenage twins are poised to do the same thanks to the plans we’ve purchased for them. Every family should take advantage of this incredible opportunity to save for their children’s future and enable them to attend college without breaking the bank.

So, what are you waiting for? Don’t delay. Get in the program this year, and use the following code to receive $25 off the application fee !
