Baby Websites Lowdown

Here’s a list of our Top 10 baby/parenting/family websites in no particular order and a little bit about them.

PS We have not included websites that also have magazine’s attached to them (that’s another blog entirely)!


                                     

Only a couple of year’s old Your Baby Club has really taken the internet by storm. YourBabyClub.co.uk scours the internet on a daily basis looking for the best selection of Mother and Baby freebies, promotions, offers and competitions!

Simply sign-up with your name and email address... look through the offers (all of which are 100% genuine)... and click on the ones you like the look of. Some offers will need details such as an address and phone number, however once we have these you will never have to input them again. Some super comps on Facebook too!

                                                      

Netmums was launched in 2000 to offer mums local support and information online. Since then they have grown to become one of the UK’s largest and most influential parenting communities. The site has been through big changes in recent times – well worth a look!

                                                                    

The original mummy website was conceived in early 2000 when founder Justine embarked on a disastrous family holiday. Her idea was to create a website where parents could swap advice about not just holidays, but all the other stuff parents talk about. 

Seventeen years later and Mumsnet is now the UK’s biggest network for parents, with over 10 million unique visitors per month clocking up over 100 million page views.

                                             

BabyCentre is 20 years old and the go to site or expectant parents with lovely monthly birth clubs giving mums to be a community of parents at exactly the same stage as themselves. The site, which is owned by Johnsons Baby, reaches more than 45 million mums globally each month – and 8 in 10 new and expecting mums online in the UK.

                                                                        

The Best for Baby is the new kid on the block, these guys are the Tripadvisor of Baby Products. There are a million places on the internet where you can find reviews, good, bad and indiiferent. This site aims to become the defacto go to site for independent opinion on baby products and services. Very much in its infancy, you can make this work by adding your reviews. 50,000 ratings of 300 brands in more than 30 categories – one to watch!

                                                                   

A new brand of ‘mummy’ site, Mumii offers itself as a magazine site, covering a wide range of topics of interest to women who are also mums (because that parenting thing takes up a lot most of our time there’s lots of articles about handy products, parent related news and a fab award scheme too. Set up by mum of three Jo Studholme, the sister site is Pushchair Expert.

                                                           

Best known for its award scheme, Loved By Parents is a family focused online parenting magazine offering features, reviews, recipes and advice on all things they consider to be Loved by Parents. Some lovely competitions on there worth entering!

                                   

This is an online news site with a section dedicate to parenting. It shares up to date funny moments and some of the best blogs around. Well worth clicking on during breastfeeding!

                                                              

Some really useful and interesting articles on this site, TheBabyWebsite is focused in pregnancy, baby and parenting .In depth – lots of content on there – a good place to stop by if you’re pregnant or in the first year as a new mum.

                                                   

MyFamilyClub is a website that aims to help families with children of all ages to save, manage and make money. You’ll find guides on money saving and budgeting, tools to help you manage your cash, as well as advice that will help you make money too.
