Ding, Ding! Baths and Showers are Entering the Fighting Ring!

There are many age-old problems in the world. The chicken or the egg? Shampoo or conditioner? Potatoe, potato? And, not forgetting, baths or showers? With washing, there are two clear camps. Some people swear by baths. Others swear, instead, by showers. And, neither team will accept that the other option has benefits. But, what is the perfect way to wash? Is there a right, or wrong? No one seems to know. That’s why we’re going to look at the pros and cons of both. Gloves are off: it’s baths against showers!

First things first; let’s look at the similarities. There’s no denying that both, ultimately, do the same thing. You’re going to get clean either way. No matter which you choose, you can treat yourself to luxurious body washes and luscious hair products. Your towel radiator will be appreciated, no matter what. And, you’re sure to feel better after you’ve washed. But, that’s where the similarities end. So, what are the differences?

TEAM BATH

Let’s look first at baths. You can tell a lot about a person from a preference for baths. These are for the more relaxed among us. Individuals who bathe tend to enjoy a little luxury. They recognise, and appreciate, the need to take time out. They don’t rush, but take the time to look around. They are, in some cases, so laid back, they’re horizontal.

The first and most obvious benefit is that you can buy luxury bath products. From bubble bath, to bath bombs, you can make sure your bath smells amazing. You can add to the already relaxing atmosphere by choosing scents that soothe, like lavender and chamomile.

Baths have scientific benefits, too. Warm water acts as a heat pack for anyone suffering from muscle pain. They also help ease skin irritation and conditions. Dermatologist Whitney Bowe, MD, states that baths help lower cortisone, which halts aging! So, your bath can help you feel and look younger. And, of course, we couldn’t discuss bath benefits without mentioning how they relax you after a hard day!

TEAM SHOWER

You can also tell a lot about people who prefer to shower. These people are often on the go and don’t have time for luxury. They are busy, and often achieve great things because of it! The main reason for such people opting for showers is speed. Which happens to be our first benefit. Showers are fast. You don’t need to carve out a significant chunk of time for them. You can hop in when you wake up, and it’s job done.

Showers are also preferable for hair washing and general cleanliness. If you get sweaty a lot, a shower will wash that bacteria straight down the drain! Plus, your hair wash is sure to be more thorough with water pounding down. Those soap suds will follow that bacteria down the drain. And, of course, showers are fantastic for waking you up in the morning. They are refreshing, invigorating, and a fantastic way to start the day!
