We missed National Ice Cream Day as we spent the day out by the inlaws and got back a late. So we did ours another day that we had time. We picked a warm and humid day to make it. Oh how I love having my kitchen aid and the ice cream maker attachment. This is only our second time making ice cream. This recipe is for a kitchen aid ice cream maker. You could make it in a regular ice cream maker you would have to add more milk to fill it.

I was looking through the many ice cream recipes I have. I found one that only had three ingredients. Yes you read that right, three ingredients. It was so very easy to make and it turned out to taste just like a Wendy’s Frosty.

What You Need:

1 140z can of sweetened condensed milk

1 8 0z tub of cool whip

Chocolate Milk

What To Do: 

I had my bowl in the freezer for over 15 hours. Then when I was ready I set up my ice cream maker in the kitchen aid.

Make sure that you thaw the cool whip first.

Once the cool whip is thawed out but that into your ice cream bowl and add the sweetened condensed milk. Then turn on the kitchen aid to stir. I slowly added chocolate milk until while its mixing gets to the top. I let it mix for 30 minutes. I maybe should have went 15 more minutes.

Once done I transferred to a bowl to put in freezer. It needs to set for 3 – 4 hours.

This will be a little softer then ice cream and that is ok. If you want it a little more stiff then leave it in the freezer longer before you eat it.
