10 Reasons Why You Need a Mom Friend

Tags: husband kid hang

I’ve touched on this subject before, but it is one that resonates with a lot of mothers. I can 100% identify with it myself. All moms need to have at least one mom friend.

Here are 10 reasons why it sucks to not have a you need to have a mom friend.

You have no one to Hang with at akward birtday parties for kids.

Everyone needs someone who has been in their shoes.

It can be lonely as a parent and everyone needs to know and feel that they are not alone.

Trying to make a mom friend is like dating but only worse because if you have a bad date you don’t have to see that dude again; you’re definitely going to repeatedly see Susan until your kids graduate.

There’s no one to vent or rant to when you just have to get something off your chest.

You have no one to hang out and watch “chick flicks” or TV series that your Husband doesn’t want to watch.

Everyone needs someone they can call and say, “OMG, has your kid ever…”

When you’ve been in the hospital or your kid’s been sick for days there’s no one to have your back and drop off a tatertot casserole for your family.

Your husband thinks you can just become insta-mom friends with his best friends’ wives. It doesn’t work that way. Just because you both have kids and you both have husbands doesn’t mean you and Leslie the Amazonian marathon runner will click.

You need someone who will listen when you need to talk. And not judge your ratty yoga pants. And also to drink wine with. And to tell you that you’re doing a good job.
