Boys will be Boys….Apparently

After a long day I decided to order pizza for dinner. This mama just did not want to cook. So I head to my laptop and Im placing my order when my 3 older boys coming running into the front room to inform me my Youngest stabbed himself with a pencil. Some running around later I’m sitting in the ER with him in a t-shirt no shoes and his underwear on backwards He strips his clothes off whenever we get home so he was naked at the time of the accident. The backward undies were a result of his brother trying to put shorts on him while I found keys called the hubby and left money for them to pay for the pizza. Back to the Er…. My kid is a fighter so wasn’t what you would deem pleasant until the nurse gave him a hug. For a pretty girl he can calm down. The doctor comes in and says so what happened Bud. My 4 yr old replies it got stuck ( in a tone of voice that clearly said duuuuhhhh) then proceeds to wave his hand in front of the doctor like look. The doctor distracts him and yanks the offending piece of graphite out his finger. he rinses it says it will be fine and goes to cover it and I’m like did you not notice the hole.

Anyway, my son is a charmer and by the time we left he had received 2 kisses and hugs from 2 different nurses 2 coloring books a pack of crayons and 4 lollipops. Kids a mercenary and they all wanted to see him smile.  Finally, we head home and there are my 3 older ones lined up heads down looking sheepish. The 10 yr old would not let anyone eat until they found out if the baby was ok and confessed. Apparently, the youngest was stabbing paper with a pencil so the 14 yr old tried to take it and he got stabbed. So do they come tell mom nope they hushed him and tried to get the pencil out breaking the lead off inside his finger then they decided it was a good idea to tell me. As they confess I’m getting angry but my husband is like well boys will be boys. What the what!!! He then tells me mortifying stories about him and his brother and all I could think was Oh God it’s in their DNA I must protect the youngest. But as I think it I watch my youngest go over and kick the 14 yr old so apparently I don’t need to protect him after all. What I need to do is invest in an awesome first aid kit, good health insurance, and map out the routes to the ER.https://www.bloglovin.com/blog/19169713/?claim=38put8wu4h8″>Follow my blog with Bloglovin
