Grooming my dogs is not my favorite thing to do. None of them (save the blind deaf dog, go figure) particularly like the bath, and it’s a huge pain to get a mammoth like Sissy in and out of our very large bathtub. (Side note: ladies, I finally found a tub that you can lay in AND the girls are covered!) And then the brushing. Oh, that is NEVER fun for her. She has SO much hair, that the task tends to last over a few days. She gets grumpy and I know when she has had enough. And if she sees the undercoat brush, she will go find a fresh mud puddle or a pile of dirt. She hates the pain that style brush puts out. When furbliss reached out and asked if we wanted to try their new multi-purpose dog brush, I figured what the heck! At least Sissy wouldn’t imminently recognize this new dog brush!

What The Heck Is A Sub- Par Dog Brush?
If you have ever had your dog run when the grooming is about to start because they know what the dreaded brush you are trying to conceal behind your back, you may be using a sub-par dog brush. Traditional dog brushes are metal and basically rake your poor pup’s skin, with no buffer. Now imagine that is your scalp. If you cringed, then your dog’s brush needs a new consideration.

Furbliss Is A Grooming Game Changer
Let me be honest for a sec: This Dog Hair brush doesn’t even look like a brush at first glance. It’s small. It is weird looking. It claims to be a multi-functional brush. So when I first got it, I showed it to the dogs. This is their reaction:
It’s a little small for a man’s hands but fits perfectly in my own hand. The shape feels like it was designed with long periods of brushing in mind, so that is great.

After Sissy (whom the dog brush was intended for) got a quick brush, Buster decided that he could no longer wait, and pushed her out of the way. He happens to be a HUGE fan of this Furbliss dog hairbrush!
The most surprising thing about this brush is the fact that does not only help to remove the dog hair, but it really seems to lift the dead skin from Natas’ poor back. The massage that this little red brush gives is pretty special too, considering the way they all seem to smile when I brush them! (Don’t worry, I won’t post those images, they are not the prettiest to see!)
A Bathtime Brush Too!
This morning I decided to try out the other function of this dog brush. It is great for the bath, so it claims. As it turns out, all three of the boys (Big Buster, Little Buster, and Buddy) needed baths. This was the perfect opportunity.
Sorry that I can not include any images from bathtime. These dogs are very, shall we say… active… in the bath. I would surely drop my phone or camera right into the tub. You understand, right?
Armed with the brush and a soothing blend of dog shampoo made by Zesty Paws I made my way to the bathroom with the meanest of the mean, Little Buster. He will pee on your leg and bite you for scolding him. He happens to only love my kids and is too protective of them at times.
A bath for Little Buster has to be a surprise and he must be the first one it. If you approach him after you have given any other dog a bath, he will growl and spit at you. Really, he is sweet though. It also includes lots of dog rolls and summersaults. He loathes the bath. Today though, he sat in the water and let me scrub him with this revolutionary dog brush. This is a huge step for him, the first enjoyable bath he has ever had! All because this brush puts him in a trance when you use it on him. It was so easy to really get him sudsy and rinsed!
The Only Complaint I have
I hate to say anything negative about this dog brush because obviously, a team of experts spent a ton of time and energy to produce such a fantastic tool. But if you are still reading, that means you want all the facts. My only complaint about this dog brush is that it does not seem to lock the hair in place between each pass of the dog’s coat. Instead of the traditional style brush, that hurt and scrapes the skin, BUT locks the hair in. You have the opposite with this dog brush. The teeth release the now free dog hair between each pass of the fur. Instead of a neat little pile of dog hair beside me, I had been covered with 5 different types of dog hair.
I do not think this one oversight is worthy enough for a review telling you that I do not love this product. In fact, it is quite the opposite. I can handle having to vacuum every day for the life of my pup. I already do that. However, if you can not handle dog hair clumps floating around the air in your room, I would look for a way to contain the hair that is removed from your dog. Or just take the party outside!
Overall, I definitely recommend this brush especially if you deal with an itchy dog, a horrible bather, or a dog who runs when you bring out the grooming tools.
