Squishy little toys have taken over my little girls mind. She has become obsessed with them. So when I got an invitation to try a set of 12 of them in return for our honest opinion, I figured why not.
disclaimer: I received these toys at a discount in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own as always. Also, there are affiliate links within this post. That means that if you make a purchase based on my recommendation I might make a commission for my efforts. To learn more please see my Disclosures and Such page.
So I think I should tell you that my least favorite thing is to be woken up at 6 asking if we can do our “Squishy Review right now.” least favorite thing ever. If you have a child like mine (i.e obsessed with office supplies) then maybe skip these as a general rule. For the last week, they have been the center of attention. And for good reason. They are so damn cute!
Size Up Your Squishy
I was pretty surprised when I opened the post office box to find a padded envelope. How on earth would 12 squishy’s fit in such a little bag? Well, imagine my surprise when I find 12 of the littlest and cutest squishys!
For reference, I have placed them next to a quarter. See how little?
The Softest Squishy Is The Best Squishy
The material is something close to rubber, and they seem to be filled with some sort of squishy magic, that makes putting one down nearly impossible. Because they are so soft, these little squishys are perfect for holding when anxious.
Speaking of that, I have noticed the benefits of the Squishy Toys for Bug, even though they drive me nuts. When she is having a difficult time dealing with her emotions, she picks one up and plays with it. I like to think of it as a way cuter, less likely to cause harm fidget spinner.
Not All Squishys Are Equal
Saying that each and every squishy is the same is absurd. Some are soft and have a slow rise feature that when you squeeze. These ones are just for holding and being adorable and that’s ok. Each one is different, coming with a few cute fat cats, a little blue guy that looks like stitch from Lelo and Stitch, and a yellow tiger that looks so much like something that would come out of the kids show Ni Hao Kai-Lan. My favorite though was the seals. They look like something from the North Pole.
A Few Warnings For Parents
As I stated in the beginning, I got these in exchange for my honest opinions. Because I promise to always give you the full details, I do have to warn you. When I was taking the photos for this post, I borrowed one of Bug’s scrapbook papers. I laid them all out all cute and snapped the pic. As we started to pick them up and put them away, I noticed a wet spot on the paper under where each had been sitting. It has been 24 hours, and the spots are still there. It’s like some sort of oil. So please consider that when playing with your new squishys.

Also, because they are so small, I do not recommend them for children under 6. And that might be pushing it. They are small enough and look and feel close enough to gummies that I wouldn’t risk it. Other than that, I see this set as a great addition to any collection of squishys.
Bug loved helping with this post.
Until Next time
