The most Important Question related to Time Travel is about its Validity: Is Time Travel Possible?
The Answer to that Question is what that encourages most of the Scientists and Physicists to continue researching on Black Holes and Quantum Physics. Yes, Time Travel is possible. But the process as a whole, is a lot more complicated than we all think it is. Traveling through Time to the Future is possible, but Time Travel to the past is not yet proven to be possible. You might ask that if Traveling to the Future is possible, then why traveling to the Past is not possible? Well, it is because of the reason that the Process governing these two variations of Time Travel is not the same. That is, if Traveling to the Past is possible, then the process for doing that will not be the same as the process of Traveling to the Future.
TIME TRAVEL TO THE FUTURE
What is actually Time Travel to the Future? Well, the answer to that Question is simple. Time Travel to the Future is the process of going to the Future which can mathematically be considered as the resultant of the Present. A problem in this situation is that Time Travel to the Future is not literally “Time Travel”. You will be able to understand about it if you know about the methods involved.
There are two ways to perform Time Travel to the Future. These two methods are related to the extremities of Two Physical Quantities. The First Method is to Travel at a Velocity close to that of Light (Velocity of Light in Vacuum = c = 299792458 m/s). The other method is to be near (not very close) to a Black Hole or any other Celestial Body with a High Amount of Gravity. Velocity and Gravity are the Two Physical Quantities the Extremities of which can perform Time Travel to the Future.
Traveling at the Speed of Light is practically Impossible, although I should mention that Scientists have developed a new way to perform Space Travel. It is called Light Propulsion. It is the process of Increasing the Velocity of a Small amount of Mass with the help of Light (or Radiation). When Light strikes an object, even though Photons have Zero Mass, the Light will exert a pressure on that Object called Radiation Pressure. Scientists claim that they can use this phenomenon to send a very Small Spacecraft (as thin as a Wafer) at a Speed of One-Third of that of Light.
Going near a Black Hole is much more Impractical than traveling at the Speed of Light. It’s because the nearest Black Hole to Earth is 7800 Light Years away. That is, if you Travel at the Speed of Light, then it will take 7800 years to reach that Earth. Unfortunately the maximum Lifespan of a Human is just above a Hundred.
Now, I said that Time Travel to the Future is not literally “Time Travel“. It is because in this process, you are still subject to Time. And Time affects you slower than the rest of the Universe. It means that every other object in the Universe is Subject to Time in the normal way, but you will be Subject to Time much slowly. One Minute near a Black Hole can be 2 months for the Rest of the Universe!
Even though Time Travel is fascinating, Time Travel to the Future is much more of like a useless process. It’s because the Future is not set yet…….!
So if you provide me with a Spacecraft that can Travel at a Velocity close to that of Light or if you can provide me a way to reach near a Black Hole before my death, then I can perform Time Travel…….
