Chow Down's Thirst Quenching Pasta

The other day I had a major craving for Pasta. As much as I love pasta the more I thought about eating it the more I thought about the sluggish bloated feeling that is going to overpower me as soon as I finished my meal, you know that feeling that comes after eating so many saucy noodles. I hate that feeling because it forces me to be consumed with food guilt, knowing that I ate something that I shouldn't.
With my cravings still going strong and my food guilt not as much, I decided to go ahead and eat some pasta! However, instead of making an Alfredo Sauce which is my favorite, I decided to create (with the help of my darling husband) a pasta sauce that still tasted amazing but without that heavy feeling, after affect. The best part is, we made it with my favorite cooking ingredient, WINE!
Before I list the ingredients, I have to rave about the "drunken" pasta noodles we used. I have never heard of noodles being soaked in wine but let me tell you they were delicious. I brought them from World Market for $3.99. The name brand was Solitaly. I will say, I feel like that is a bit pricey for noodles especially because the portion size is so small. They were extremely good though, and after our trip to Italy last summer, I found that one of the secrets to an amazing pasta dish is using good quality noodles. So if you're not trying to feed a massive amount of people I do think that buying these drunken noodles is worth trying.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon of Freshly chopped Garlic (okay, okay you can use powdered if you want)1/3 cup of Parmesan Cheese (we used a grated & a shredded so more like 1/3 of each 😊)1/4 cup of Dry white wine (we used a Pinot Grigio)3 tablespoons of Butter2/3 cup of Onions & Peppers (optional)Black pepper, rosemary, basil and red pepper flakes (seasoned to taste)
Directions:
In a sauce pan warm up to medium heat. Pour in butter and cheese. Stir until cheese melts.Pour in wine, garlic, onions & peppers.Stir occasionally until sauce is heated up.Season to taste.
*** If you are going to eat a protein with your pasta after cooking the protein you can add it to the sauce while on the stove. We air fried (of course) sausage & shrimp and added it in.
