Kebab & Biryani Fiesta @ Aloft !

Aloft Cessna Business Park in Bangalore have a niche for coming up with amazing food fests at regular intervals at their restaurant – Nook. I had visited earlier when they had a ‘Cuisines of the Coast’ Fest on , the details of which can be found here. This time around they have a fest that is sure to  bring a smile to everybody’s face coz its Kebab & Biryani ! The buffet spread is vast with a lot of unheard biryani’s to choose from. I’ve already detailed out the ambience in my earlier blog ( click here.), and so I will jump straight to the food.

Well if I start detailing into each item on the buffet, it will take ages and so I will detail out a few while for the rest – head to this fiesta to try it out. The fest is only until 22nd of September 2017, so hurry up !

First on the Kebabs, succulent veg and non-veg varieties and interesting variation.

Corn and Cheese nuggets was crunchy and had the right amount of cheese. It will not take much time to get addicted to these.

Tandoori Chicken – Well marinated , had the right seasoning, juicy and yumm !

Paprika Potato Wedges :  Simple , common appetizer where every bite makes one crave for more. Kept it original and Paprika adds that kick.

Some unique non-veg starters that will get a thumbs up from me were the Tandoori Raan and Murg Palak ke Korma Kebab.

Fish made it to my plate and I am glad it did, melt in the mouth and cooked to perfection.

Now before we hop on to the Biryani’s, i have to mention the cocktail that I had and I was looking for trouble , so ordered for the ‘Trouble in Paradise’. It was a blend of Whisky, Campari, Grape Fruit Juice, Basil Leaf  and Lemon.

The buffet also had a nice assortment on salads.

Now off to the Biryani’s – there were regular varieties and there were unique one’s too. There were some that were clearly surprising in a good way but overall it was a massive big smile spread. Listing out some of my top picks.

Mute (Egg) Biryani

Raw Banana Biryani – Never heard or had before ! Delectable !

Quail Biryani : One will rarely find Quail biryani, this place had it !

Mutton Biryani – Presentation and serving of Biryani is excellent. Lamb cooked to perfection.

I like my Biryani with some spicy curries to go with and the buffet here made sure that expectations were met. Kozhi Kozhambu (Chicken curry), Murg Makhani and Aloo Tamatar Rassa were some of the interesting one’s

And of course, ending the fulfilling meal on some amazing desserts. Pastries, Gajar Ka Halwa,  Panna Cotta, Shahi Tukda and what not !

The fests that the hotel comes up with are an impressive lot. The idea is great and gives the diners a different cuisine to try every time they visit ! Go for it !
