On 17th April, 1987, the then UMNO Youth Chief Najib Razak (now Prime Minister of Malaysia) famously issued a threat to the ethnic-Chinese that he wanted to “soak the keris (Malay dagger) in Chinese blood.” It was the most hateful and racist message an UMNO-Malay leader has had ever delivered to the Malaysian Chinese, whom had never harm any ethnic-Malay.

After the terrorist attack in Barcelona which killed at least 13 people and wounded more than 100, President Donald Trump has offered a long term solution to combat Radical Islamic Terrorists. The U.S. president’s formula is pretty simple – kill those Muslims with “bullets soaked in pigs’ blood”. Nope, the badass Trump wasn’t taking a page from Mr. Najib’s playbook of racism.

Instead, Trump made the suggestion in his tweet based on a legend about General John “Black Jack” Pershing. Apparently, the legend has it that when the famed U.S. general was assigned to the Philippines, he successfully suppressed Muslim militants in the Moro province from 1909 to 1913 – by shooting them with bullets dipped in pigs’ blood.

The dead Muslims were then buried with dead pigs. And there had been no more radical Islamic terror for 35 years – according to President Trump. But this is not the first time the bombastic U.S. president has tweeted such mind-boggling message. In February 2016 during the Republican primaries, Trump made the same suggestion against Muslim terrorists.

Trump said – “They (General John Pershing) were having terrorism problems, just like we do. And he caught 50 terrorists who did tremendous damage and killed many people. And he took the 50 terrorists and he dipped 50 bullets in pigs’ blood – you heard that, right? He took 50 bullets, and he dipped them in pigs’ blood.”

“And he had his men load his rifles, and he lined up the 50 people, and they shot 49 of those people. And the 50th person was let go to carry a message – ‘You go back to your people, and you tell them what happened.’ And for 25 years, there wasn’t a problem.” – claimed Mr. Trump. Yes, he mentioned 25 years of prosperity last year, which contradicts with his latest claim of 35 years.

But who cares if it was 25 years or 35 years free of terror attacks, as long as the method scares the hell out of the radical Islamic terrorists, right? Wrong, because the left-wingers or the liberals said there’s no concrete proof that the U.S. general had ever done such a thing. However, there was a letter written by a soldier who served in the Philippines to support such legend.

According to a 1962 article by Donald Smythe in the Pacific Historical Review, an academic journal – “Mr. C.C. Booth of Dallas, Texas, who served in Mindanao under Pershing, recalls seeing him hang a Moro chieftain by the heels over an open grave, kill a pig, and then drop the Moro into the grave with the bloody animal.” Still not convinced?

There’s another piece of evidence though. A memoir by Pershing titled “My Life Before the World War, 1860-1917“, which was republished in 2013 by the University Press of Kentucky, says that another commanding officer in the Philippines, Colonel Frank West, had in at least one case seen to it that bodies of Muslim insurgents “were publicly buried in the same grave with a dead pig.”

So, there could be some truth to the legend that bullets in pigs’ blood and grave with dead pigs had indeed stopped terror attacks during General John “Black Jack” Pershing’s time in the Philippines. It might sound superstitious or even illogical, but the prospect of going to hell instead of heaven for the Muslims tainted with pigs could deter the would-be-terrorists.

The consumption of pork is forbidden in Islam, let alone being shot with bullets soaked in pigs’ blood and dumped in the same grave with dead pigs. It’s an open secret that the so-called brutal Daesh (ISIS, ISIL, IS) terrorists were extremely afraid of being killed by female fighters. That’s because under the strict interpretation of Islam by ISIS, if a fighter is killed by a woman, he cannot go to heaven.

Not only would the violent ISIS jihadists lose their precious place in heaven if killed by women, their ultimate prize in paradise – the promise of 72 virgins – would be forfeited as well. Thanks to extreme interpretation of Koran / Quran by radical imams, a radicalized Islamic terrorist, most often than not, would not take any chance as far as going to heaven is concerned.

Therefore, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to conclude that being dumped in a grave filled with dead pigs, on top of being shot with bullets dipped in pigs’ blood, is worse than being killed by a woman fighter. And considering how ISIS jihadists love raping children and gang-raping women, the slightest risk of not getting 72 virgins could be too much to take.

Sure, not all Muslims believe that if they are shot with pigs’ blood they would be sent to hell. But due to the extreme manner in the way radical Islamic terrorists are being led to believe, majority of them might be spooked. And that’s what matters. After all, there’s zero possibility that Allah can send a text to clarify that it’s okay to be shot with bullets tainted with pigs’ blood.

Instead of foaming at the mouth questioning the legendary tales, perhaps the liberals or left-wingers should put on a thinking cap and see which angle President Trump is coming from. Obviously this is psychology warfare against the radical Islamic terrorists. The only way of stopping them is to cast doubts that the gift they treasure the most – the 72 virgins in paradise – would be taken away.
