Is it really possible to make Money online? The simple answer yes, it is.
But how? Well that is the million dollar question !

The reality is, internet is no El Dorado, neither does it have Aladdin’s magic lamp which you may stumble upon by chance while browsing. And probably you would not be able to buy your own island from the money you made online.

But it is definitely possible to generate some extra cash if you know the proper channels. These are perfectly valid and legitimate ways and need some effort from your parts.

The first and most popular of these methods is Google Adsense. You can sign up for an adsense account and it will generate a publisher code for you. This code, when placed in your blog and websites, will place relevant Google ads to the page. Any visitor then visits your page and clicks on these ads will generate adsense revenue for you. You get paid per click and the rate per click varies from a fraction of a cent to a few dollars depending on the ads.

The success of this scheme depends a lot on how many visitors actually visit and click the adsense ads from your page. If you are thinking of visiting your own WebPages everyday and clicking all the ads to maximise your profit, then you are mistaken. Google has a mechanism to protect against such fraudulent clicks. This is also against the terms and conditions of Google adsense; if you are caught (like many in the past) your account will be terminated.

So the only way to generate meaningful income is to have lots of visitors visiting your blog and/or website. To do so, you need to have good contents; a blank page will not do.
This is quite some effort in the beginning and you blog/website does not become popular overnight. But once it does, you just get money periodically.

If creating and maintaining your own website/blog sounds too much an effort, you can also try various adsense revenue sharing sites. Basically you create an account in such sites and give some input (an article or a review of a product), they will present it from their web pages. You get a fraction of adsense revenue generated from that page.

These sites have much higher page rank than your newly created website and way more visitors. But you get only a fraction of their earning; you have to give regular inputs and be really patient before you can generate any meaningful income.

Apart from adsense, paid surveys are another method of earning online. Though this area is plagued by scams, there are some valid survey sites which will pay you for doing a 15/20 minutes online survey. But be extremely cautious; do not pay any money to sign up—sign ups are free for almost all legitimate survey sites and bear in mind that the payment is modest. If any scheme sounds too good to be true then probably it is.
