Do you see the above photo? Hidden in there are 16 of the most iconic gowns worn to the Academy Awards. This year it's the 89th annual Academy Awards, and the race for the Oscar has been full of wonderful and sad surprises. Amy Adams has been snubed by the Academy for her work in Arrival. Whereas Meryl Streep is up for her 100th (maybe) Oscar for Florence Foster Jenkins.

Hacksaw Ridge is Mel Gibson's first Oscar nom in over a thousand years. La La Land has over 14 nominations, tying it with Titanic and All About Eve. Viggo Mortensen is up for a movie lots of people have never heard of (Captain Fantastic) and Viola Davis is up for ther third Oscar nom (Fences).

I could go on and on about all the nominations, but, what everyone (me included) wants to talk about are the dresses. You can call them gowns, works of art, whatever, they really are the things that leaves the longest impression on the viewing public. And if you know your Oscar dresses, you'll be able to quickly pick out Cher, Charlize Theron and other stupendous celebrity dresses.

Keep staring at the graphic. Have you figured it out yet? Want a clue? Look closely, there's even an Oscar hidden in the picture. All the answers are after the jump!
